ISO 14001 is International organization for standardization 14001 Environmental Management System-Specifications EMS. It describes practices for environment management. It is an extension of ISO 9001 standards. ISO 14001 is mainly an environmental policy defined by top management of the organization. These standards were established in 1996. if an organization is already ISO certified with ISO certification then time and cost to implement ISO 14001 standards will considerably get reduced.
