The
ISO
Quality standards and information were
published by the Geneva based International Organization
for Standardization in 1987. These standards have
been adopted by 112 nations. ISO standards provide
a ISO
9001 Quality Management system if standards
implemented in the organization are in compliance
with the ISO quality standards.
ISO
specifies requirements for a Quality Management
system overseeing the production of a product or
a service. There is a wrong illusion that ISO
quality standards and information give
assurance about quality of a product. It doesn’t
give assurance for the quality of a product but
inspects the process of production and how it will
be managed or stored.
ISO standards are mainly for manufacturers starting
from the information they got and going through
the design, implementation and engineering phase
to the final product packaging process. If your
system is incomplete then you have to carry out
internal audits to check for compliance with the
ISO
quality standards and information and
take necessary steps to like train employees.
